dc.description.abstract | The presidential tickets in the upcoming Student Government election expressed their positions on issues facing YSU students. Presidential candidates also addressed the Leaders Club, which represented varsity athletes. Top students and faculty were recognized during the 23rd Annual Honors Convocation. A campus poll implied that most YSU students were not as materialistic and conservative as other students in the area. Psychologist and author Martin E.P. Seligman declared that depression is learned. Part-time English instructor Frank Polite appeared in court and issued a plea of “no contest” to an attack on Barbara Clouse, a fellow faculty member. The Student Art Exhibition opened at the Butler Institute. The many talents of YSU golfer Rod Sedlacko were highlighted. | en_US |
