dc.description.abstract	Welcome Week 1999 edition. Amid numerous protests from YSU's alumni association, the board of trustees is creating a new administrative position, director of Alumni Relations, which will expand the functions of the Alumni Association. The YSU Association of Classified Employees (YSU-ACE) concluded nine months of contract negotiations with the university that almost ended in a strike. New Metro College opens in area and is accessible to working people. Presidential search continues and should be completed by January 2000. YSU Website addresses the issue of Y2K. Women's soccer have a new start with new coach, Liz Bartley. YSU police give tips on campus safety.	en_US
