dc.description.abstract Soon after arriving home, the airplane that brought the YU football team safely back to Youngstown after a game in New Haven, Connecticut crashed three hours later near Toledo. Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. entertained Indian students who had been observing American steelmaking techniques. The College Inn, a diner catering to students, opens in the basement of the Lincoln Hotel. Last thoughts about the presidential election are expressed, as is the opposition to communities surrendering their autonomy through the acceptance of Federal money. The YU Penguins defeat the Southern Connecticut Owls on the football field 8-7. en_US
