dc.description.abstract | Sociology professor Bhagwati P.K. Poddar (Sociology) sued the University over the non-renewal of his teaching contract. The University Discipline Committee’s verdict on Chuck Hettler and his illegal Greek membership was reversed. The Committee also ruled against four officers and one representative of the Interfratenity Council who were charged with illegally serving alcohol at the IFC Ball. A fire broke out in the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity house. The YSU Herbarium and its 4,000 specimens of plants, was highlighted.
