dc.description.abstract | Opportunities were presented for eligible YSU students to register to vote. Dr. Lawrence A.DiRusso was named to head the new Guidance Department. Three non-students were arrested by campus security for stealing a stop sign. Local labor leader Albert Shipka was named to the Board of Trustees. 500 attended the new Freshmen orientation. Guidance and counseling students from YSU took part in a summer project with Warren Public Schools. The “free university” class taught by Dr. Bhagwati P.K. Poddar expanded to meeting three evenings per week. Construction continued on the parking deck on Lincoln Avenue. | en_US |
