dc.description.abstract College enrollment may reach 350, a new record. Upperclassmen write a column about various faculty members to aid the new Freshman. With the larger enrollment the addition of more instructions are a growing possibility especially in the areas of business administration and mathematics-science. The Employment secretary, Miss Mann, urged students who are uncertain about money for tuition to contact her for part-time employment. The Jambar welcomes Frosh and announces that this year it will be published every other week on Fridays. Rates for the interurban busing system were cut for Youngstown College students. The Jambar reprints an article from a previous edition describing Freshman Week. Russell Snyder designs official college seal which is to decorate all the fall literature and catalogs. Director Jones has been ill with a sever attack of the flu. Marian Morgan was chosen as May Queen. A Photograph of the 1931-1932 varsity basketball team is given along with an article announcing the basketball practice towards the formation of a varsity squad this coming season will begin in the first or second week of November. The lack of enthusiasm and leadership for fencing has caused it to be dropped from the college lists of sports, unless interest revives it. Jambar reports on the brilliant May Day activities. A photograph shows the planting of the ivy from Oxford at the left of the main entrance to the new building. en_US
