Award-winning poet and playwright Lionel Wiggam was to speak in Strouss Auditorium. The YU Debate Team was chosen to oppose the British Debate Team. President Jones personally intervened—in the streets—to temporarily halt the towing of illegally-parked cars belonging to YU students.
