dc.description.abstract | The 1936 Athletic Banquet will be held Tuesday, March 24 to honor the basketball players. A new organization known as the Youngstown College Varsity Club was inaugurated last week. The purpose of the group is to promote the welfare of athletics at school and create closer feeling among the varsity men. The Open Road Club has absorbed smaller biology clubs on campus to eliminate any possible friction that might arise from having two or three organizations all trying to give the students the same thing. One of the latest social organizations to come to the campus is the Phi Kappa Delta fraternity whose purpose is to further the cultural, social and educational interest of its members. A column is dedicated to Miss Violet Pear who will graduate the College as one of the highest ranking scholars in her class despite her affliction of being blind. | en_US |
