dc.description.abstract A special Student Government panel issued a report condemning the policies of the YSU Bookstore. Complaints were also raised by students and faculty about the lack of study space throughout campus. Construction of a parking deck was delayed by six weeks. Student teachers formed an ad hoc committee, campus opinions about the previous sexually-charged Jambar advertisement for the Park Burlesk (sic) were raised, and the third Hey Jude dance, to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, was promoted. Rev. Richard Speicher was named the new Protestant Chaplain, the Mentor Program was highlighted, and ABC News’ Marlene Sanders was the upcoming speaker for the Artist Lecture Series. A sociology professor proposed the establishment of a faculty union, the Gates of Eden Coffeehouse closed due to an expired lease, and a YSU football player got six months in jail for possession of marijuana. en_US
