dc.description.abstract Funding for a YSU television studio was discussed among administrators. Meanwhile, WYSU-FM was receiving a great deal of fan mail from listeners. President Pugsley defended the student press in the wake of negative comments by Ohio House Speaker Charles Kurfess. The creation of an “open” university was suggested by Student Government members, including a self-service bookstore. Preparations for the observance of Earth Day (April 22, 1970) were underway by student groups. A survey showed that most YSU student preferred scotch, but drank mostly beer, due to its lower cost. en_US
