dc.description.abstract The Board of Trustees sought compromise on the student representative issue, while also approving the establishment of a fine arts college. More proposals were discussed regarding the reorganization of the University Senate. The chair of the Criminal Justice department refused a request of the African American Student Union to use grant money to study police abuses in Youngstown. Sagging enrollment did not affect the University’s state subsidy. Increased student rights were predicted by the new law affecting the legal age of adulthood in Ohio. en_US
