dc.description.abstract A pesticide specialist from The Ohio State University ruled that the insecticide Dasanit was not suitable for use on a college campus. The presence of dead birds on campus attested to the danger of Dasanit. Gay liberation spokespersons from Kent State University and Hiram College urged gays at YSU to “come out of the closet.” The Steve Miller Band performed at Beeghly Center, despite poor ticket sales. YSU’s total enrollment for Spring Quarter 1974 stood at 12,272, down 3.5 percent from Spring Quarter 1973, though the Graduate School, the Technical & Community College, and the Dana School of Music experienced increases in the number of students. Robert E. Arnold was elected chairman of the Accounting & Finance Department. en_US
