dc.description.abstract Local lawmakers gathered at YSU to discuss the future of higher education funding. Student Council was unable to conduct business due to a lack of quorum. The University community awaited historian Henry Steele Commager’s Skeggs Lecture. The unfinished Bliss Hall was to be investigated for more construction defects, with no decision having been made as to who would pay the bill. A student watchdog organization (Committee Against Student Exploitation, or CASE) was highlighted. en_US
