dc.description.abstract YSU students planned to stage a rally in protest of U.S. President Nixon’s war plans in Vietnam. Tom Montgomery won the Student Government president. Demonstrators against the Miss YSU Beauty Pageant were summoned to the Dean of Student Affairs for possible disciplinary action. Television writer Rod Serling equated the war deaths in Vietnam to murder. The Student Rights Organization planned to publish a newsletter. A prostest march to Pollock House (the Headquarters of YSU ROTC) was staged. en_US
