dc.description.abstract Scan sheets were to be used for the first time in student elections. Funds were allocated to begin construction on Bliss Hall. Contract negotiations resumed between the faculty union and the University. Total enrollment at YSU dropped by 155 students, but enrollment was up in the Graduate School; however, the Graduate School experienced an increase of 182 students. Beer was to be served for the first time at the Kilcawley Pub. New engineering degree programs were approved by the Ohio Board of Regents. A placement service continued to function, while career planning was to commence in the fall. A YSU senior declared his candidacy for city council in Struthers. YSU and other colleges and universities met to examine the viability of establishing an athletic conference. en_US
