dc.description.abstract YSU Student Government attacked Ohio Governor John J. Gilligan’s education budget. The Board of Trustees approved a BS in Applied Science degree. A protest against the Vietnam War was staged on the day that Richard Nixon was inaugurated for his second term as U.S. President. The Jambar also noted the death of Nixon’s predecessor, Lyndon B. Johnson. Singer Don McLean performed and granted the Jambar an interview. Two career libraries were established on campus, one in the counseling center, another with the graduate school. An engineer from Ohio Edison was to speak, the Continuing Education Department offered a course on China, and the Student Volunteer Bureau put out a call for people willing to serve the community, and YSU football player Ron Jaworski awaited the NFL Draft. en_US
