dc.description.abstract An agreement granting students the right to a briefing during faculty contract negotiations was signed between YSU-OEA, the Administration, and the Student Government. A representative of the Palestinian Liberation Organization spoke on campus, attacking Zionism and calling for the creation of an independent Palestinian Arab state. Owen S. Rachleff, teacher and expert on the occult, was designated the next joint Skeggs/Artists Lectures Series speaker. With the energy crisis in full-swing, YSU officials considered fuel rationing and other options. Dr. Clyde Vanaman (Elementary Education) was elected chairman of the Academic Senate. en_US
