dc.description.abstract An unsuspected $200 million shortfall in the state budget may mean further budget cuts for YSU and other state universities. Students in the American Studies program may soon be able to pursue a master's degree at YSU. The Early College High School Initiative, a college preparatory program designed to reach underrepresented students, could begin at YSU withing the year. YSU provost Tony Atwater was one of 23 national candidates asked to attend the American Association of Colleges and Universities' Millennium Leadership Initiative. The SGA supported forum called "Dog Ears," attempts to make books affordable for students; however it lacks support from the student body. Sports features YSU new coaches and recruits. en_US
