dc.description.abstract | Various issues were discussed at the first President’s Conference. The first meeting of the Senior Class was a success. A self-defense expert showed students how to defend themselves from attack. Dormitory life in Kilcawley Hall was demonstrated during an open house. Five YU students volunteered to donate blood for U.S. soldiers serving in Vietnam. Dr. Ward Miner (English) was awarded a Fullbright Professorship. The University Theater’s musical production of “Tom Jones” proved lively. A survey showed that YU students fail to “build up” their University. Frank Thomas, the YU Radio Show’s director, called for the establishment of a university radio station within the next five years. | en_US |
