John George Hagelis, a pre-dental freshman at Youngstown College, was killed on November 30 when the biplane he was piloting crashed. A graduate of South High School, Hagelis served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II as a B-26 instructor. At the time of his death, he was 23 years old. |
