dc.description.abstract	Vice President William H. Coffield (later in the meeting Dr. John Coffelt) presided. Appointments made to the Senate Council Committees were announced. Reports where give on the following committees: Constitution and Bylaws, Senate Council, Academic Affairs and Curriculum. Requirements for the Dean's List were discussed. A motioned was passed that the provision which allows for the reduction of course credit hours for irregular class attendance be abrogated. A proposal was passed to grant degrees of Doctor of Jurisprudence to holders of LL. B. degrees from the former Youngstown University Law School. A report was made by the Director of the Counseling Center, Dr. Letchworth. Dr. Edgar reported on the University Research Council and grants offered.
