President Pugsley presided. The proposed amendment to the Constitution regarding student voting failed to have the 2/3 approval of the Senate. The Constitution and Bylaws Committee reported and changed its election date from the first meeting of Fall to the last meeting in Spring. Nominees were announced. The Executive Committee reported on a list of Committee changes and vacancies. The Academic Affairs Committee reported on its recommendation in regards to pluses and minuses in grades, auditing courses, faculty attendance at conferences, early final examinations and proposed statute of limitations on grades policy. The Curriculum Committee reported on courses changes, requests for a change in the General University requirements and the problem relative to course duplications. The Media Center Committee reported. The Library Committee reported on loss of books by faculty, theft of books, problems of operation, the government depository and ground breaking for the new library. |
