President Pugsley presided. The Constitution and Bylaws reported on a letter the committee received from Dr. Poddar. The Executive Committee of the Senate reported on making appointments for the Standing Committees for the coming academic year. The Academic Affairs Committee reported on its activities regarding 10 week examinations, audit grades, and hours permitted in majors and minors. The Black Studies Program reported on the Black Studies major, recruitment of black faculty and students, visibility in the community and establishing a Youngstown Inner-City Scholarship Fund. The Curriculum Committee reported on departmental proposals, a proposed educational media certificate program, a proposed real estate technology program and a proposed medical secretary program. The Senate recommended to the Board of Trustee that it place in the Library the University Budget including individual salaries. |
