Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of March 05, 2003

Abstract

Tom Shipka, chair of the Academic Senate, presided. The Senate Executive Committee reported on an update on the committee appointed by the President to review the Professional Conduct Policy, a "referral log" has been added to the Senate website, and a committee to investigate a possible violation of the University computer-use policy. The Ohio Faculty Council reported on higher education in Ohio, state funding, and legislative concerns. An update of the College of Fine and Performing Arts is given by Dean McCLoud. The Academic Standards Committee motioned on the possible change in policy on changing minors when students declare a new major was returned to the committee for further discussion. The General Education Committee gave a list of newly certified courses attached to the agenda.
