dc.description.abstract Tom Shipka, chair of the Academic Senate, presided. The Executive Senate Committee reported on the appointment of members of the Professional Conduct Committee. The Ohio Faculty Council reported Dr. David Freel, Executive Director of the Ohio Ethics Commission, gave a talk. Dr. Tom Shipka gave an update on the search committee for a new University General Counsel. Elections and Balloting Committee reported five of the six colleges have elected their at-large and departmental senators, GER representatives and members of the Executive Committee. The Academic Programs Committee reported on approved proposals. The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee reported on approved course proposals that have passed the objection period. The list is included in the agenda. New business included a resolution passed in support of the right of the University food service employees to unionize, if they choose. A report on the Centennial Master Plan is given.
