Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of June 06, 1984

Abstract

Chairman Larry Esterly presided. The Senate Executive Committee reported on Committee and Subcommittee appointments of the Senate, Faculty Representation for YSU to the NCAA, and a resolution to accept the resignation of Dr. John Coffelt. A moment of reflection was held in memory of Dr. Robert DiGiulio. Elections and Balloting Committee reported on issuing the list of Senate members. Curriculum Division reported on its activities for the past year. Programs Division reported on the establishment of a major in Telecommunication, a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Studio Art and a two track major in Retailing. Continuing Education Subcommittee reported. Unfinished Business includes reports from the Computer Services Committee pertaining to a policy on Micro-Computer Devices and the Academic Standards and Events Committee with motions pertaining to the audit grade.
