Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of February 02, 1994

Abstract

Virginia Phillips, Chair, presided. Dr. Duane Rost reported on the Faculty Advisory Committee to the Chancellor and summarized points made about the faculty workload policies. The Senate Executive Committee reported that recommendations for appointments have been delayed, student members to become more active in their committees, and discussion with the Provost which included Dr. Mapley's letter on changes in the graduation ceremony, the Institutional Committees booklet, the General Education Requirements, Peer Review on Computing Report, and a letter from the Physics department to ABET, the Engineering accrediting agency. A resolution was made to recognize Gratia Murphy who resigned from the SEC and the Academic Senate. New Business pertained to a Resolution calling for Trustee M.J. O'Connell's resignation from the YSU Board of Trustees.
