dc.description.abstract	Jim Morrison, chair of the Academic Senate, presided. The Senate Executive Committee reported that the Committee has made faculty appointments to standing committees for 2000-2001 and that it followed the rule of not assigning any faculty member to more than one standing committee (except as a liaison). A resolution of gratitude is given to Duane Rost, who will retire from YSU in June 2000. The Academic Standards Committee motioned that instructors may use plus and minus modifications to grades. After some discussion, the motion was tabled. University Curriculum Committee summarized the changes for Q2S. Discussion and questions followed. A resolution was passed honoring Brandon Schneider, graduating senior student representative.
