dc.description.abstract	Jim Morrison, Chair, presided. Academic Standards Committee reported on general education deliberations and the implementation of a mandatory advising policy. The Curriculum Committee and University Programs Committee both reported on deadlines for submissions for programs and curriculum. A resolution was passed that the Academic Senate conditionally endorses a conversion to a semester system, provided that the Academic Senate and appropriate committees are centrally involved in the process of approval of changes to curricula and programs resulting from such a conversion.
