dc.description.abstract | Jim Morrison, chair of the Academic Senate, presided. The Ohio Faculty Council reported on the proposed resolution on Benefits for Domestic Partners to be referred to the YSU-OEA and YSU administration for future consideration. The Charter and Bylaws Committee reported on student representation on standing committees with students serving on no more than two committees or subcommittees. The Academic Standards Committee moved that a major or minor (if required) must be declared by the time a student has completed 63 semester hours. The Academic Programs Committee reported on the status of the proposed Adolescence Licensure Programs. The General Education Committee reported on assessment recommendations. The re-creation of the Global Awareness Committee was motioned to be referred to the Senate Executive Committee. | |
