dc.description.abstract | Jim Morrison, chair of the Academic Senate, presided. The Ohio Faculty Council reported on the National report card on education and the proposed Ohio Board of Regents budget. Charter and Bylaws Committee reported that all meetings of the Senate would be in accordance with the State of Ohio Open Meetings Laws. Academic Standards Committee reported on the grading system to allow the use of pluses and minuses and felt it was not an appropriate time to pursue such a change and tabled the proposal. The University Curriculum Committee approved a Course Proposal Progression form. The Academic Planning Committee approved summer scheduling guidelines. The General Education Committee approved a proposal flow form and discussed whether different types of students should choose the old or new general education requirements. | |
