dc.description.abstract Presented are the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Governors of Youngstown College on November 9, 1936. Statements regarding finances and enrollment were presented. New courses in marketing and advertising, engineering (evening), and metallurgy were to be offered. Changes in faculty and administration were announced. A committee for the supervision of rooming houses was set up. The plight of pre-med students and the lack of accreditation were discussed. Ideas for a cooperative engineering and business administration plan and an exchange club library fund were also put forward. The question came up as to where YoCo’s eleven Negro students would take their physical education courses (the YMCA was segregated at the time) and if they would be permitted to attend regular College social functions. en_US
