Presented are the minutes of the YSU Board of Trustees meeting from September 20, 2023 and the Committee minutes from September 19, 2023.This was a regular meeting. New Student Trustee, Natalie M. Dando and new Global Trustee, Jocelyne K. Linsalata, took the oath of office. Interim President Dr. Helen K. Lafferty gave her report. Presentations were given by the following: Ms. Laura Dewberry, Senior Lecturer, Department of Management and Marketing, Mrs. Elena Bocola-Mavar, Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia Program, student organization, Choose Ohio First Stem Research Program, Mr. Nate Miklos, head coach, and Ms. Titita Loudtragulngam, player, for the Women's Golf Team. Reports were given by the following committees: Academic Excellence and Student Success Committee; Institutional Engagement Committee; Finance and Facilities Committee; University Affairs Committee; and the Governance Committee. In New Business, the Board resolved to approve the Preliminary 14- day Enrollment Report. After remarks and approval of proposed dates of regular meetings, Chair Peterson adjourned.

Presented are the minutes of the Board of Trustees Special Meeting. Chairman Michael Peterson moved that the Board move to Executive Session for matters related to the presidential search, and in "consideration of the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of one or more public employees or officials." After the Board returned from Executive Session, Chairman Peterson moved that the YSU Board of Trustees agree to the terms of the presidential employment marked as Exhibit A (not included in these minutes) of the resolution titled "Resolution to Ratify and Approve the Presidential Employment Agreement with William L. Johnson," and that the Board authorizes the chairperson of the YSU Board of Trustees to execute the employment agreement on behalf of the Board of Trustees. The motion passed 8 to 1. Chair Peterson made some comments and noted that there was no new business to come before the Board. Next meeting will be December 7. Meeting was adjourned.

Presented are the minutes of the Emergency Board of Trustees meeting on November 16, 2023. Chairman Michael Peterson moved that the Board move to Executive Session for matters related to the presidential search, and in "consideration of the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of one or more public employees or officials." After returning from Executive Session, Chairman Michael Peterson offered a motion that Congressman Bill Johnson be offered the position of President of Youngstown State University. The motion passed with a roll-call vote of 8 to 1. Chairman Peterson made comments regarding the decision and adjourned the meeting.
