Abstract:
Presented are the minutes of the 71st meeting of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees. This was a regular meeting. Included are supporting exhibits. Highlights included: resolutions to ratify faculty/staff appointments, and to authorize the President to make application to the NCAA to elevate the men’s intercollegiate athletic program to Division 1-AA status. President Coffelt reported on the Winter 1980 enrollment, a comparison of annual student costs at Ohio state universities, an upcoming Trustees’ workshop, possible training money for training from the Ohio Urban Demonstration Program, donated stock from Florence Beecher, and winter commencement. Executive and committee reports followed.
