Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of February 04, 2009

Abstract

Chet Cooper, chairperson, presided. Remarks are given by Board of Trustees Chairperson, Scott Schulick. President Sweet gave a brief report focusing on enrollment and the budget. The Executive Senate Committee reported on the formation of a new task force to study internal factors (retention rates, course completion, graduation rates etc..) and external factors (the new state funding formula and the community college). YSU is providing a program on Mental Health Training, Response, and Awareness on Campus (known as M-TRAC). Sharon Stringer gave a report from the Higher Learning Commission Assessment Academy. Tammy King reported on the latest meeting of the Ohio Faculty Council. An informational report from the Charter and Bylaws Committee is attached to the minutes.
