Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of November 07, 2012

Abstract

Senate Chairperson Chet Cooper presided. A letter is read to the Senate regarding a fund raising event sponsored by a student organization in which parking services is charging for parking. The Paperless Committee gave a powerpoint presentation and a draft of the new curriculum form. The new chief technology officer, Ken Schlinder is introduced. The Ohio Faculty Council meeting feature Bruse Johnson, head of the IUC who gave an overview of SSI and change reimbursement for services for OFC. The Senate Executive Committee reported Mike Crist has been chosen to fill the Senate Vice Chair position. The Charter and Bylaws Committee discussed a draft revision of the Charter and Bylaws which will be voted on at the December meeting. The Academic Events Committee reported it had developed a list of mace bearers for commencement and has updated the list of commencement speakers.
