Abstract

Presented are the minutes of the 176th meeting of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees on March 8, 1996. This was a regular meeting. President Cochran reported on the work of the Center for Urban Studies, the Elm Street closure project, preparations for the demolition of buildings to make way for the construction of the new school of education building, the Veterans Memorial Plaza project, and graphic standards guidelines. Committee reports followed. Resolutions included: authorization to confer honorary degrees upon Dr. Ronald A. Parise and the Most Reverend James W. Malone; transfer of funds from reserves; an explanation of fees; the acceptance of gifts; the ratification of faculty/staff appointments; and the policy on fee remission.
