Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of March 06, 2013

Abstract

Senate Chairperson Chet Cooper presided. Chet reported that voting for amendments to the Charter are 80 ballots short of approval. The process to elect department senators has started with Department Chairs being notified to elect replacement senators. There was a request to present and open for discussion the topic of the composition of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee. Ken Learman reported that a resolution will be presented at the Ohio Faculty Council in regards to faculty workload or HB59. Academic Standards Committee reported to make changes to the Metro Credit Entrance Requirements to college and high school programs; however due to a lack of quorum, a vote could not be taken. In New Business Student Government brought up the subject of the lack of policy on the use of technology in the classroom.
