September 17, 1993: Board of Trustees Regular Meeting Minutes

Abstract

Presented are the minutes of the 161st meeting of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees held on September 17, 1993. This was a regular meeting. President Cochran provided information reports on: the distribution profile of University Scholars; the alumni magazine; the 125th anniversary of the Dana School of Music; an agreement with the Leningrad Forest Technical Academy; fall enrollment; and Campus 2000. Committee reports followed. The Board resolved: to ratify the YSU-ACE labor agreement; to ratify the YSU-OEA labor agreement; to extend compensation to exempt classified employees; to ratify faculty/staff appointments; to sell Clingan-Waddell Hall; to acquire property; to authorize an increase in the current general fund; to accept gifts; to grant President Cochran a raise in salary; and to modify the Board Secretary’s contract.
