December 12, 2012: Board of Trustees Regular Meeting Minutes

Abstract

Presented are the minutes of the 311th meeting of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees on December 12, 2012. This was a regular meeting. President Anderson praised YSU as the calendar year drew to a close. Committee reports followed. The Board resolved: to approve a memorandum of understanding for the Youngstown Early College and modification of the tuition charge for the Youngstown Early College; to support a local government fund grant application; to accept the resolution of the Boards of Humility of Mary Health Partners and YSU; to accept development gifts; to name the James and Coralie Centofanti Center of Health and Welfare for Vulnerable Populations in the Bitonte College of Health and Human Service; to renew the Audit Subcommittee charter; to approve interfund transfers; to approve the use of the design-build delivery method for the construction of a veteran resource center; to approve the policy on workplace violence; to modify the acceptable use of technology resources policy; to modify the policy on the hiring and selection process, contracts, and compensation for Intercollegiate Athletic Coaches; to modify the policy on classified civil service; to modify the policy on domestic partner benefits; and to ratify faculty/staff appointments.
