Presented are the minutes of the 334th meeting of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees. This was a regular meeting. Included are supporting exhibits. Highlights included President Tressel’s report to the Board and committee reports. The Board resolved to approve a policy of support for veterans and armed service members, to create an honors college, to rename the Graduate School as the College of Graduate Studies, to accept development gifts, to rename Alumni House to Fok’s Hall, to transfer university development functions to the Youngstown Foundation, to modify the operating budget approval and modification policy, to approve and “energy efficiency contractor,” to approve a change in YSU’s investment fund manager, to modify the University’s policy on the investment of endowment and non-endowment funds, to revise the modification plans to Melnick Hall, to approve a policy concerning minors on campus, to rescind the policy on the University Guidebook numbering, to a policy relating to insurance, to modify the policy on collective bargaining and negotiating, to create and to recruit for the position of Associate Vice President for Research and for a dean of the College of Graduate Studies, to appoint an interim dean of the College of Creative Arts and Communication, to ratify personnel actions, and to reject a fact-finder’s report relating to contract negotiations with YSU-ACE. |
