dc.description.abstract The Senate Executive Committee reported on vacancies in the Senate, productivity between Chairman Cooper and the Board of Trustees on shared governance, a request for committees to examine their charter and bylaws, and participation for solutions for the campus climate. The Elections and Balloting Committee reported on the election for Senate chair which will be available on Blackboard. The Academic Events Committee reported on updating commencement, having Honorary degrees for deceased alumni, Macebearer nominations, commencement speaker nominations needed and the idea of student marshals. The Library Committee reported on budget cuts, the unfilled director position, and a review of The Future of Maag Library report developed by the Provosts Library Committee in Spring 2016. The Integrated Technologies Committee reminded everyone that Blackboard will be updated and unavailable this weekend. In New Business, Jim Yukech addressed the Senate about the current state of and plans for IT services, Placement Testing Addendum was added, and SGA Focus Groups were announced. en_US
