dc.description.abstract | Dr. Foster distributed a study of small classes for the winter quarter. Dr. Foster distributed a list of University majors for the academic deans to review as a guide for assigning students for advising. Deans Scriven distributed his Report to the Academic Dean's Council and moved the adoption of the new reinstatement form for use by all academic deans. Dean D'Isa moved that the Dean of Admissions and Records send a letter advising students of their suspension and to contact the dean of his school for information about reinstatement. No former student could be reinstated for a quarter for which the application closing date had passed. Students who have been out of school for a period of time must be reinstated by the Dean of Admissions and Records. A student under academic suspension can not transfer credits earned at another school while on academic suspension at YSU. Dr. Edgar advised the deans of a need to clarify the applicability of the current catalog to all students as it pertains to suspensions and so forth. Dean Robinson made the report of the Ad Hoc Committee on Admissions that university regluations governing the freshmen admission be applied uniformly to all first time freshmen regardless of time between high school graduation and application to the university. Dean Robinson moved that Dr. Foster make a study to establish a cut-off for unrestricted enrollment. | en_US |
