dc.description.abstract | Vice President Edgar recommended an early report from the committee of the Council on faculty credit for handling independent study. Dean Aurand expanded on his previous information on credit by examination or through other means of proficiency. There was an extensive discussion of the student actions and the administrative accidentals that lead up to the use of administrative grade change. Vice President Edgar called attention to the item on personnel files. There was a discussion of the imminent activation of the unemployment compensation law and implications for the University. Vice President Edgar reported on the statement on academic freedom, rights and responsibilities adopted at the annual meeting of the AASCU. Vice President Edgar advised that legislation pending in Columbus prohibits sabbatical leaves from State funds. | en_US |
