dc.description.abstract The YSU Skeggs Lecture Series hosted legal analysts Dan Abrams and Nancy Grace at Stambaugh Auditorium on Tuesday. YSU celebrates Women's History Month with featured speakers, discussions and awareness on women's issues and the slogan "Rise Up" throughout March. Deanna Jordan, Rendin Fellows and Robert Cranmer were sworn in as YSU police officers during a ceremony on March 1. Jambar interviews Angelica Diaz, a junior journalism major, who moved to Puerto Rico and experienced Hurricane Maria. Medical marijuana and the impacts on Youngstown and YSU are looked at. Jambar interviews YSU's candidate for Provost, Susan Stapleton. A chapter of the College Diabetes Network is established on campus. A historical sketch of "The Gates of Eden" coffee shop of the 1960s which influenced many students at that time is featured. The Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board is funding projects in the area to help people battling the heroin epidemic. The Brooklyn band, Van Goose, performed at the Westside Bowl's one year anniversary party. Local Irish Band County Mayo is featured. Sports features YSU women's golfer Katlyn Shutt. After falling short of the Horizon League tournament championship, the Youngstown State University women's basketball team gets one more chance to shine in the Women's National Invitation Tournament. The YSU baseball team picks up over spring break. en_US
