Abstract

An additional day was added to the final registration schedule. Dr. Edgar briefly commented upon YSU's intent to make available to senior citizen the opportunity to attend classes on a non-tuition/no grade/space available basis. After considerable discussion on the "W" grade, it was moved by Yozwiak and seconded by Sutton that no grade shall be permanently recorded when a student withdraws from a course before 5:00 p.m. on the last day to add a class. Considerable discussion ensued relative to the inconsistency in the status of the audit grade. It was moved that the Academic Affairs Committee restudy the audit grade. Several of the problems associated with the "I" grade were discussed. Dr. Edgar brought attention to the deans issues associated with : the dean's list, conferring of honors, and modifications in the commencement programs.
