Mrs. Murphy discussed the writing diagnostic test, given by the English Department to new freshmen, which served as a basis for advising students into the proper English composition sections. Jonas discussed his memo addressed to Deans, Chairmen, and other computer users. The actions outlined in that memo were a result of the freeze of the Computer Center budget by the Budget Committee until a better understanding of the utilization of the facilities was gained. Rand mentioned that copies of the self-study reports from all of the University respondents would be delivered to the academic deans for their information. Edgar reminded the deans of the meeting of chairpersons and deans on April 21, where information on the budget would be distributed. Paraska referred to an article in the April 18th issue of the "Chronicle," that deals with policy of the AACSB as it pertained to the transfer of business course credits from two-year colleges. |
