dc.description.abstract	The Provost was prioritizing the recommendations of the Committee of the NIE Study. Scholarship Awards guidelines were discussed. Deadlines for submission of the forms for the Selective Excellence Programs were given. The Calendar for Catalog Development was discussed. Dr. Gillis was trying to find funds for a University Chair position. A detailed calendar for the 1986-1987 Academic Year was circulated. A new Academic Affairs Manual was to be out soon. The list of Promotion quotas for Colleges and Schools was out. Suggestions were needed for Winter and Spring Commencement speakers. General Robinson was to speak November 14. Dr. Gillis and Dean Ruggles reported on the new Academic Planning Committee. Concerns were voiced over contract work scheduled within buildings without the knowledge of the primary occupants. Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities went out to the departments.	en_US
