dc.description.abstract | There was a problem of capturing students who evaded remedial courses or registered for but subsequently dropped them. A question was raised about what equipment was to be brought for a particular room or building. Would it be carried on the inventory of the department using it or on that of the place which it is located? There was an issue on how to enforce the injunction against a student's registering for more than 25 quarter hours. Revised schedules were distributed. EARLY proceeded nicely. Provost Gillis alerted North Central to our plans for going from a Master's highest to a doctoral-granting institution. Susan Khawaja wanted the Advisors' Manual to contain a statement that her office was to be notified if an international student was not full-time. Stress-producing elements were identified at the last Bethany Conference. A "Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education" was formulated by the Joint Committee on Testing Practices. There was interest in using ETM Major Field Achievement Tests in Education, Engineering and Management. Dean Ruggles testified before the Ohio House Education Committee in support of H.B. 212. Enrollment for Spring 1989 was similar to last Spring. Progress was slow on the integrated computer system operative. A memo from the Associate Provost indicated that YSU employees were not to be issued limited-service contracts for teaching during or at an hour in lieu of their lunch hour and that only full-service faculty may offer conference courses. | en_US |
