dc.description.abstract | Tom Maraffa addressed concerns related to the work stoppage. Paul Kobulnicky was assigned to chair a search for Dean of Arts and Sciences. Peter Kasvinsky was to chair a committee for a Director of International Programs and to better define the priorities and scope of the International Studies and Programs. Pam Palumbo reported on Summer Commencement. The most recent alumni magazine and an outline of the layout for the next issue were distributed. It was proposed to produce the Undergraduate Catalog once every two years, with a web-based supplement the second year of the cycle. The North Central Association/Higher Learning Commission expects central coordination and adequate support of distance learning. The University questioned whether to create a new central position or expand Sal Sanders's position? The Provost announced that that chairs could not unilaterally restructure their teaching loads, only to then add an additional course in the summer at overload rates. | en_US |
